A snow crab fetched 800,000 yen ($7,050) at a fishing port auction in Fukui Prefecture on Saturday, as the fishing year commenced the very same working day in the Sea of Japan for the winter delicacy.
The rate was a document for a prime male crab promoted by the prefectural authorities beneath the “Kiwami” brand name. The productive bidder, a community restaurant operator, stated he ordered the crab so he could welcome shoppers with his “head held significant.”
