A 23-12 months-previous man in Osaka was arrested Wednesday for allegedly burning his girlfriend’s son to dying with very hot shower water at an condominium.
According to the Osaka Prefectural Police, Takumi Matsubara has denied the charge, telling investigators he and the 3-calendar year-aged toddler have been only “playing in a incredibly hot shower alongside one another.” Matsubara and the boy’s mom have been dwelling alongside one another at the apartment in Settsu.
When the boy died on Aug. 31, his mother was not at house, the law enforcement claimed. The suspect informed investigators he stepped out of the bathroom to established the shower h2o temperature larger and identified the boy collapsed when he returned, they stated.
In May, the boy’s mom consulted the regional government in Settsu about Matsubara allegedly abusing the child, but the city’s consultation heart concluded the circumstance at the time did not need any protecting steps for the little one.
